Lewis was definitely a huge part of my formative years. Mere Christianity was revolutionary for my spiritual and intellectual development during college.

He married late in life only to loose his wife to cancer. He also experienced physical pain. Wounded in WWI, Lewis carried a piece of shrapnel in his body for the remainder of his life.
