What If Your Life Could be Fixed?

What’s not to love about Babu Frik? He’s cute and fixes things! That’s often how we view faith in general and Jesus in particular. He’s that great guy with the sheep over his shoulder who fixes things in our lives. Jesus is great, and he hear over and over that he wants to work in our lives. 

How does he do that though? He certainly doesn’t show up with a tool box and a welding helmet like our friend Babu. The gospel accounts show us Jesus leading his disciples on many journeys. There were thrills. There were struggles and pain. Ultimately, the disciples developed a deep love of Jesus and a passion for the Kingdom of God. 

Did Jesus fix them? Yes. Did their live turn out the way they expected? Nope. Not at all.
