Marvel’s Illuminati

On Episode 77 of The Telescope Show, Matt interviews Ricky Pope. Ricky is a pro video producer, musician and host of the Christian Nerds Unite Podcast. During the conversation, Matt asks what Ricky would pitch to the head honchos at Marvel if he had the opportunity. Mr. Pope gave his answer with very little hesitation. He wants the X-Men brought to the MCU, and he knows how to do it!

You’ll have to listen to the episode to hear Ricky’s full theory; however, Ricky’s theory is based on a series of comics called The New Avengers: Illuminati. It’s definitely a feasible theory considering the rumors of a Fantastic 4 re-reboot and of Namor coming to the MCU stage. Ricky admits that his theory is long-shot at this point, but it is still a lot of fun to hear a fellow fan’s ideas of what could happen in the future MCU. 

After the interview, Matt was, against all odds,  able to convince Marvel to not sponsor the show! It was an amazing act of non-diplomacy and statecraft!
